As part of its continuous improvement programme, Camden Group recently commissioned three new Rapid cutting and machining centres at its main window fabrication facility in Antrim. The new machining centres were supplied by Emmegi.

“The Rapid is one of the fastest and most accurate PVC-U cutting machines on the market,” says Camden Operations Manager, Seamus Lavery, “ and their introduction will further enhance our manufacturing capabilities, increase production efficiency and help us keep pace with the growing demand for our market-leading Inliten range of windows and doors. In the marketplace, customers are demanding ever faster delivery times, but without compromising on quality. Cutting production time whilst continually striving for improvements to quality can be a challenge, but, as a market-leader and a company that puts innovation at the heart of the business, we need to recognise those demands and act on them. If we didn’t, we would risk being left behind. The three new Rapids, alongside our investment in automated and robotic technologies, are therefore an integral part of our drive to reduce turnaround times and, at the same time, drive product quality.”

“This latest investment is part of Camden’s ongoing commitment to investing in world class production capabilities and Camden now operates one of the most advanced end to end window and door manufacturing plants in Europe – with state of the art recycling, profile extrusion, frame fabrication, composite door production and glass sealed unit facilities all on-site.“
