Camden has a reputation for producing super products and also some super-heroes. Six of Camden’s finest and fittest have been making a marathon effort lately to raise funds for some very good causes. Running the Belfast Marathon for Focus, the suicide awareness charity, were Ciaran McAllister, John Robb, David O’Connor, Greg Loughran and Lee Scott. The team finished in a very impressive time of 3 hours 33 minutes.
700 miles away in the French capital, Kevin Kenny, Area Sales Manager at our Liverpool Trade Centre was putting his body on the line, pounding the roads of Paris on behalf of Cancer Research UK. A glutton for punishment, Kevin then turned his attention to London for another 26 miles of agony.
“We’d like to thank all our customers and colleagues who generously supported us, “ said Kevin. “In Paris, I was feeling a bit under the weather and didn’t hit my target plan, but as delighted with my time of 3 hours 40 minutes in London. And with the amount we raised, it makes it all worthwhile.” Between them, the boys’ marathon efforts raised over £1500 for two hugely worthwhile charities – a fantastic effort.
