We’ve only gone and done it again! Our latest awards success is that we’ve been nominated for three sustainability awards in Ireland’s high-profile plant and civil engineer awards.
Camden Group has been shortlisted in the Environmental Initiative, Wastes Management & Environmental Excellence and Circular Economy categories of the Construction, Quarry & Recycling Awards 2019.
These awards are organised by Plant & Civil Engineer magazine and celebrate excellence, outstanding contributions and unrivalled levels of service and innovation across Ireland’s plant, construction, quarrying, agricultural and civil engineering sectors.
Our heavy investment in sustainability initiatives has enabled us to recycle almost 50,000 tonnes of waste uPVC over the past 5 years and develop the greenest product range on the market – neither of which has gone unnoticed in the market.
Roy Harrison, Camden Group Sales Manager, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with these award nominations for our environmental excellence.
“At Camden we’ve taken a pro-active approach to leading a drive for increased sustainability across our sector.
“We’re particularly pleased with the Circular Economy award nomination, which recognises development of a high quality, high value end market product from recycled/recovered materials.
“Our product features 80% recycled content, which compared with an industry average of 15-30%, is truly market-leading.
“Sustainability is one of the most important challenges within our industry right now. It’s great to be recognised as a benchmark for other forward-thinking companies, both within the uPVC market and the wider construction and civil engineering sector.”
It turns out that we’re on a bit of a roll, as these award nominations come off the back of Camden also being shortlisted in two other sets of awards. We’ve been nominated for two categories in the forthcoming Glass and Glazing Awards, and were nominated in five categories of the recent National Fenestration Awards, in which Camden won the Sliding Patio Door Company of the Year award.
Winners will be announced at the Construction, Quarry & Recycling Awards 2019 taking place in Belfast on 21st November. Fingers crossed!
